Playoff schedule TBD

We are a big part of the Spirit and Energy at the Football Game. We work with the Cheer and Pom teams to coordinate our music and energize the fans. You represent Mountain View High School and The Toro Band. Be proud to be a Toro and set the standard high. Marching Band members sit together in the Band area (the left end of the stands) arranged by section. Come ready to have some fun!

Parents and Families of the Band sit together in a section directly next to the band so you can hear and see them play. Remember that as parents and families you are also representatives of the Band. Be kind and respectful of all players, attendees, and referees. Games are typically on Fridays at 7:00pm, but be early for the pregame show and National Anthem. Come out to support the band!

Volunteer opportunities at games include: help fill and haul water refill stations and/or run them during the game, set up the band area in the stands, hand out uniforms, braid hair, move large instruments, pit instruments or equipment, props, stands, or other equipment, clean up and put everything away after the game, etc. Some volunteer positions will get you into the game for free, but those spaces are limited and there may be no free tickets available at away games, at the discretion of the Home Team.

Themed Home Football Games

Most of the home football games have special activities specific to that night:

Homecoming

The Homecoming Dance is this weekend. There is a Homecoming Parade after school. The Homecoming Royalty is crowned during half time at the game. There are lots of people. And Blow Ups. And Food Trucks. And in 2024 there was an Apache Blackhawk Helicopter that took off from the field during halftime. Toro Pride.

Little Toros

The Toro Pom and Cheer teams have a clinic with a LOT of little elementary age girls. They teach them a few cheers and they come out during the 2nd quarter and FILL the track with little girls chanting and dancing with the cheer teams. Expect a very full stadium of parents and lots of cuteness! Clears out after half time.

Battle of Brown Road

This game is not always a home game. When Mountain View plays Red Mountain High School the game is traditionally called ‘The Battle of Brown Road’ since both schools are only a few miles apart on Brown Road here is Mesa. It’s a competitive rivalry in this close-knit community with both schools in the same school district. Be prepared for lots of crowds and extra publicity of this event.

Jr High Feeder Night

Incoming 8th grade band students are invited to come into the stands with the Mountain View Marching Band to play a few stand tunes and then join them on the field during halftime to play a few songs. Such a great way to show all the incoming band kids how much fun it is to be a part of Marching Band!

Alumni Night

Mountain View alumni are invited to come join the Marching Band and play stand tunes with the band. All ages of alumni are invited for an epic night of comradery across the generations. The Toro Fight Song lives on forever.

Senior Night

Before the game is a special Senior Dinner. The Seniors wear their parade uniform and get a special boutonniere to wear. Their names are announced on the speakers and they are paraded onto the field with their parents to shake hands with the Principal and get their picture taken and a few minutes of fame on the Jumbotron.
