2007-2008 Fundraising Activities

The Toro Band requires financial support beyond what is provided by the school district. Fundraisers are necessary. We work together to keep costs down so that any student who desires to be part of the band can do so.

Please support the fundraisers! At present, the following activities are tentatively planned for the 2007-2008 season -

OngoingCorporate Sponsorship Drive - Do you know of someone who either owns or works in a local business that may want to contribute to the Mountain View Band? You can help out on the sponsorship drive - simply click here to download the corporate sponsorship packet, have the business or organization complete the form, and forward it to the address provided….it's that simple!

November 2

ToroFest Homecoming Dinner

ToroFest Homecoming DinnerThe Mountain View ToroBand will hold the First Annual TOROFEST HOMECOMING DINNER on November 2nd. After the Homecoming parade, a tailgate-style meal can be purchased at the outdoor basketball courts just south of the stadium. Families can enjoy the parade, get a great parking place for the football game, and enjoy a wonderful meal! Once at the parking lot, there will be plenty of signs to guide you to the right spot, or just "follow your nose!" We're pretty sure that everyone in a one-mile radius will drool over the smell of the mesquite! The meal will include a smoked/BBQ pulled pork sandwich, ranch beans, chips, salad, dessert, and a drink. What a deal!

Some seating will be available, but the meals will also be served in a container that can easily be taken to your "tailgate" area or to the stadium.

Tickets can be purchased at the event for $9 each or you can enjoy a great advanced-sale price of $7.50 each. We will have tickets available for sale at the football games October 12th, 19th, and 26th at a table set up on our "visitor" side of the stadiums.

***Note: We apologize for the typo in The Groves. ToroFest will take place from 5 pm - 7 pm, which is right AFTER the Homecoming Parade and BEFORE the Homecoming Football Game!***

ECA Tax Credit

Community members, who have not already done so, are urged to support the Mountain View Toro Band through their donation of Extracurricular Tax Credits.

(For more information please visit MPSAZ.org)

Arizona's Extracurricular Tax Credits are structured such that a married couple may contribute up to $400 to the Marching Band, or a single person may contribute up to $200. This is only for Arizona taxpayers. Please use the online form at https://mpsaz.mytechsupport.com/eca/donations/make_donation.html. Select Mountain View High School in the school drop down box, and select Band 8122 as the activity.. This is a tax credit. You will be sent a form after your contribution is received, and the next time you file your taxes, you will get, dollar for dollar, your contribution back, if you do not owe any Arizona State income tax. If you do owe Arizona State income tax, you may deduct the full amount of your contribution as a tax credit.
